Hey, just downloaded this, and I was getting through it fine up until trying to run the worldserver.exe and malwarebytes grabbed it as a 0 day exploit, just wanted to check with you to see why that may be. Any ideas why it might be dropping a false positive or do you think there might be some malware hiding in there?

gc995 I'm unaware of any viruses in it, this is just a re-release of the eternion repack from a LONG time ago though. Even if it was ratted like the Kription repack is, I'm sure the hacker no longer has access to the server the repack rat reports to. Again though, I have no knowledge of a virus and I've used the repack myself before but feel free to run it through virustotal as well

BentByte I see, thank you for the reply. Also, the download doesn't have the eternion_13623.exe with it, where can I download it?

gc995 You can get the eternion launcher from the old website on the wayback machine. You can launch it and click download patch or play and it should unpack the eternion exe file, but be careful because the launcher at one point does in fact redirect to an xxx site because of a hacker back in the day.

I have no idea what's going on...

BentByte I figured out what was wrong, gtShieldBlockRegular.dbc, Item.dbc, KeyChain.dbc, TeamContributionPoints.dbc are all empty, 0 bits on them. I made sure that it wasn't an unpacking error, they're just not there in the download. There's no .MPQ to rip them from either. I looked on wago.tools to see if the build was there for 4.0.6.a just to find a baseline for it, but the stuff doesn't exist on there.

I hope that you have the files hanging around somewhere, or I hope someone has a 4.0.6.a client out there open to download, otherwise I'm fairly sure this' a dead end.

You need a 100% downloaded client to use the eternion exe, otherwise you have to use a streaming client without the custom patch.
